COGENT* Steel Composite Board is a high performance multi-purpose board manufactured with a formulated homogenous cementitious core, reinforced with mineral fibres and bonded in-situ to perforated steel facings to provide exceptional fire performance and impact resistance. This board has been designed to withstand against active firefighting measures released from extinguishers, hose reels and sprinklers.
COGENT* Steel Composite Board facings are made with specially coated Zinc Aluminium alloys combined with traces of other metallic elements that enables them to maintain good strength and achieve a superior corrosion resistance compared to Galvanised Steel.
In highly aggressive environments, Cogent Steel Composite Boards may be specially adapted with Stainless Steel Facings of SUS304 and SUS316.
COGENT* Steel Composite Board core is asbestos free. Integration of environment friendlier processes are key, whereby core fillers are consciously combined with sludge waste from fibre cement plants to help reduce landfills. Additionally, the batching facility runs mainly on rain water harvesting whilst operating in a tropical climate.
